POLYCELL SMOOTH OVER WOODCHIP WALLPAPER

Polycell Smoothover Good or Bad??
Is it okay painting this direct on to the walls inc the plasterboard stud walls without removing the woodchip? I found it quite easy to use. He was working in the room anyway, so the cost was part of a big bill. Is it smkoth different to plaster?
Be careful as blades are sharp and can score the plaster. If it is not, then the paper with a layer smopth heavy plaster on it will sag.

Plastering also needs to be done by a professional unless you want to do it yourself in which case it may well end up looking like woodchip! When I tried to paint over it, the paint roller would pull off the plaster skim and the wallpaper. What if you plaster over it and it turns out to be not well stuck to the wall and it starts coming away?
To be honest, you could do it, but smoothh have to do that many coats that it would be cheaper just to get a man in to skim the walls. I was searching for opinions about polycell basecoat and these reviews have really put me right off, but I feel I need a thickish basecoat. Page 1 of 1. If I cover it with new paper would it not all come down as it is quite old though i suppose the paper seem to be glued quite firmly and I have no damp patches.
I almost orgasmed when I first saw the advert for this stuff, at last popycell solution to my woodchip interior. It was recommended by a guy in Focus. If you spend on products which don’t do the job properly I think you’ll always notice the imperfections.
You can also do it through steaming only. Makes me feel depressed. Posted 7 years ago. It gives the effect of a textured wall finish and was the ideal choice for hiding smootth or cracked walls.

Our bathroom ceiling was artexed. Never had the need to use it, so can’t judge. Is it possible to use polycell textured ceilings matt rippled finish to cover up repairs to a woodchip ceiling.
